In all honesty I can't think of anything theoretical to write about in the moment but that's since I have 'had my head inside the weeds' for the past few weeks. I have been doing the doing of Seo (for myself and at function) really intensely and that has left little time for thinking about how or why we do the things we do within the performing of Seo.
That said (and I promise I won't repeat it), I occasionally hear from buddies who are in transit. It seems to me that I've heard from more than a few lately ('lately' being one thing like 'this year'). I don't usually speak of my buddies and co-workers on-line because, properly, frankly that keeps me out of trouble.
So I thought I'd break with tradition and introduce you, my readers (and on the internet pals) to some of my other pals who also have connections with the Seo industry. And let me say that I have ulterior motives for performing this, not the least being that I'm tired of seeing these folks not be noticed. I have often (well, occasionally) said that the majority of Search engine optimization specialists and gurus and wizards don't really promote themselves on-line. I think that to be true.
I also believe that's a shame, simply because many folks are truly struggling to distinguish themselves from the crowd when seeking new clients, applying for jobs, or just trying to share an opinion somewhere in a meeting or in their offices. Here are several individuals whose Seo and marketing opinions mean something to me. Some of them may at present be taking on clients. Some of them may be in a position to help YOU. I'll list them alphabetically by last name.
Nicolette Beard very first contacted me prior to I left Houston in 2006. We met when or twice in person and have spoken on the phone a number of occasions and have exchanged much more than a couple of emails. I can't say I have worked with Nicolette but she has much more than 20 years' experience in advertising, at the very least 5 years' experience in online advertising (which includes working for a major company and performing consulting work), and she practically persuaded me to go into company with her'except that I had already created a career choice to leave Houston. To this day I have wondered if working with Nicolette wouldn't have provided at least as excellent a path as the 1 I've led so far.
Nicolette's independent consulting firm is Searchlight Marketing. I wish I could say I've stayed in touch with her sufficient to know when she is taking on clients but I don't. She did let me know earlier this year she had moved to the Naples, FL area and I see that she is now connected with the American Company Womens' Association Neapolitan chapter in Florida. Nicolette is wise, tenacious, insightful, and motivated. I would advocate her any day of the week.
Carlos Del Rio was an Search engine optimization technician at Visible Technologies when I started working there in 2006. Carlos and the 'traditional' or 'core' Search engine optimization team handled a great deal of customers with a diverse set of needs. As Director of Search Strategies I was occasionally asked to make myself available to the core Seo team as a secondary voice of authority but most of our conversations delved into all that theoretical stuff I've been writing about for the past a number of years. Carlos is wise, intuitive, and methodical and he made me believe on a lot more than one occasion. There are also more than a handful of Seo Theory articles that had been written after Carlos and I had discussed some esoteric stuff in detail.
You may already know Carlos as the co-author of User Driven Change as well as the CEO at Agillian Marketing and advertising Services. I have never seen Carlos present himself as a theorist in the field of search engine optimization but if there is an Seo Theorist's club and if you have to be voted in, Carlos has my vote. Take that for what it's worth.
I don't significantly like his existing Twitter picture but I'd work with Carlos again any time.
Sae Dvorak is a Net designer who worked on my team at Visible Technologies for a couple of years. She handled every crazy project I threw at her and on a number of occasions exceeded my expectations. To say that I sometime asked the Internet designers to take some really boring concepts and make them exciting doesn't do justice towards the designers. Sae's function was imaginative and inspirational. Sae came to us with a complete set of Internet style skills along with a basic understanding of Seo. She would be an asset to any organization that desires to build a creative team that gets online marketing.
When I heard from Sae recently she was freelancing and also seeking more permanent opportunities. In the event you need some excellent freelance work, now will be the time to connect with her. If your organization is seeking a solid Internet developer who knows website structure inside out, you'd be crazy not to reach out to Sae. I cannot recommend her work enough.
Bo Seeger was also a member of Visible Technologies' 'core' Search engine optimization team when I began operating there. Like Carlos Bo is really smart but although he always handled the theoretical discussions nicely (and even helped teach our Search engine optimization classes) Bo has often enjoyed the hands-on challenge of turning a site about, growing site visitors, and satisfying those hard-to-please clients. He even took on a major PPC campaign in addition to his organic Seo customers where the client demanded (and RECEIVED) a 4-to-1 return on investment.
Bo was promoted to Seo Manager at Visible Technologies and eventually succeeded me as head of the search reputation management team when I transferred to another department. He has extensive managerial experience and can take any intern-level Seo newbie and train them as much as be a competent Seo specialist in six months (give or take). Bo is presently freelancing and tells me he is taking on customers.
He's great, very good, and I would not wish to have to compete against him.
Kent Yunk is really a friend of mine and I have had the pleasure of working with him. He is transitioning into his own consultancy and working with his wife Melanie's Seo firm Roaring Pajamas (I adore that name!). Kent Yunk is a world-class search engine optimization engineer, specialist, theorist, you-name-it. He has completed some amazing projects. He knows how to scale up and can see a sick Website a mile off. There have been days when I've been going on about theoretical stuff and Kent was the only individual in the room who didn't want any explaining.
I hope I have the pleasure of working with Kent again.
These are phenomenal individuals and they have all worked miracles on behalf of other people. But they are, in my opinion, too modest about letting people know they are obtainable (when they're available). There are, needless to say, other folks with whom I have worked about whom I could say all sorts of wonderful things but I don't think any of them are freelancing or building consultancies or otherwise taking on Search engine optimization clients right now.
Todd Friesen doesn't count ' most if not all of you ALREADY know who Todd is but let me say unequivocably that I'd be extremely content to function with Todd once more, too. And I may as well mention Randy Ray, too. Fantastic guy, very intelligent, lots of experience in the highly competitive verticals, I usually enjoy chatting with him.
There are plenty of other great, wise individuals inside the field who deserve the rare mention on this weblog but this article is unique in that I wanted to let you all know about my friends, individuals whom I feel can deliver a high quality performance. I'm presently not available to take on clients. On those occasions when people ask me for consulting, I could refer them to malaysia seo, depending on circumstances.
